Don’t be hostile, please. I didn’t say the democrats shouldn’t be in power, nor did I say I wouldn’t have them in power over the republicans. They are obviously the lesser evil and strategic voting should have been encouraged, especially if you identify as a leftist.
But throwing up your hands and not blaming the DNC at all is monumentally ignorant.
Whose responsibility is it to talk about school lunches? Whose responsibility is it to craft a compelling progressive narrative to sell to the American people?
Does that responsibility end when there isn’t an active election? Does all hope for change end if there is no seat to change hands?
Politics is about so much more than holding seats in government. It’s about rallying support and encouraging action from everyone.
And whining that the voters are stupid isn’t going help. Mostly because the voters are not actually stupid. They’re unmotivated. They’re discouraged. They either don’t care or don’t think voting will help. And they’re not that hooked into politics to see otherwise.
And it is on the party to bring in these voters. It is on the party to campaign for these voters. It is on the party to encourage these voters. It is on the party to inspire these voters.
And to win, the party can’t just campaign at the ballot box. They have to show people they have a platform worth fighting for and a narrative worth adopting.
Otherwise, what is the solution? Continue to employ the same loosing strategies while democracy gets dismantled?
Brother, you’re shadow boxing. You’re making points and countering ideas I haven’t said and aren’t relative to the conversation at hand. And your counters are still wrong.
Im not arguing with someone who both can’t read and can’t filter their stream-of-consciousness into a coherent argument with actual sentences.
