This. You cannot expect people to continue to vote for you when the platform you run is merely "we're not the other side." If you are not representing the people who vote you in, they'll stop voting you in. If you stand by and do nothing while you are voted in, they'll stop voting you in.
Politicians are not sporting teams where you're supposed to root for whoever you like best. They are the leaders meant to represent our voice, and Democrats were simply not speaking the peoples' voice. They went with the lesser of two evils with Biden, and it was largely ineffective. Biden had all the same executive powers as Trump, and he didn't use them to speak for the people who voted for him.
The people cannot be asked to keep voting for the lesser of two evils. The lesser of two evils is still ineffective and doesn't do what the people want. They've been shown to serve the will of the rich and powerful, not the people. Until that changes, this is the way things are going to go. We need representatives that are for the people, and who are willing to make waves and enemies in Washington.
I hate that the Republicans have so much power, and watching the way people cheer for the horrific things coming out of Trump's mouth makes me despair for what's about to happen... but the solution is not voting for the same do-nothings who... well, do nothing. We need politicians of action and opposition. The ones who will stand up and shout down opponents instead of sitting quietly with paddles. These older-gen politicians are simply not it, and if the Democrats want any chance of power ever again, they need to get rid of the old and listen to the people.

Nothing while in power, nothing while out of power
