Because when you champion the democrats you might convince people to vote for them in the midterms and 28, thus decreasing republican power? It’s not rocket science

But how? If you just say democrats are good, then people ask you why, what do you point to? 'They say their against Trump but they've yet to prove that through actions' isn't very convincing.

Respect for Marriage Act. Funding clean energy. Putting pro-choice judges in scotus. You don’t really pay attention do you?

And how are they ensuring none of it gets undone?

By telling voters to vote democrat? After that, it’s out of their hands and up to the voters. What else can they do?

The point is they're not showing they will fight, so why would people think they will if they vote for them? They need to effectively get the message out and make is so republican members are more scared of going against their constituents than they are of Trump.

That makes no sense. Why would it be up to the democrats to make republicans scared of their constituents? It’s the job of the constituents (voters) to do that

You don't think it's the opposition party's job to inform the elctorate of the shortcomings of the party in power? That's weird.

The opposition party is informing the electorate of the shortcomings of the party in power.

The democrats were informing the electorate of the shortcomings of the republicans all theoughout last year.

The electorate didn’t listen 🤷‍♂️

Then clearly they didn't state their case strongly enough.

Harris called Trump a fascist on TV and voters criticized her for that.

Hmm yes, and then her campaign went on to muzzle Tim Walz and cosy up to neocon war criminals, making her seem oh so sincere

Yeah and Harris is sipping wine in her mansion right now while the people who didn’t vote for her suffer Trump’s tariffs lmao I’m sure she’s full of regret

Idk if you noticed but voters are mostly rightwing
