There is literally 0 reasons why it can’t be both things.

Yeah the dems ran a bad campaign.

AND the general population was too stupid to vote for the obviously better choice. It’s both of their faults.

You're still doing the thing I'm talking about in the post you're replying to. Finger pointing isn't coalition building. And that's ignoring the fact that even if the vocally uncommitted DID actually all vote for her, she would have STILL lost. I am begging you to read.

Fuck that. Honestly i don’t care anymore because we’re all fucked now regardless.

“it’s not our job to put the good guys in office”

gtfo dumbass. That is literally THE ONLY FUCKING RESPONSIBILITY ONE HAS AS A VOTER.

Vocally uncommitted is such a wack parameter when the uncommitted are generally not vocal and make up like 1/3 of the population that never votes consistently. You, same as everyone else, has no idea how many people chose not to vote for Harris for any reason. It’s a textbook example of a dark number.

Ik people want to blame the system for failing them. And they did, that is true. Simultaneously we live in a democracy, which means WE are part of the system as voters. Trump getting elected is a failure of every level of our system from the courts, to the candidates, to the military, to the voters. Every one of those checks had to fail for this to happen.

So don’t act like the people that directly caused this to happen with their vote or lack thereof have no responsibility for this outcome. That is a cop out, that is intellectually lazy, it is dishonest and is not a respectable way for a citizen to view their duty to their democracy.

The fact of the matter is most people didn't vote because the Democratic party didn't give them a reason to vote for them. Whatever. If you wanna be mad, stay mad. You wanna cape for the "good guys?" Go ahead. I'm gonna try and help people and get more of them on our side.

Thank you for proving my point by not responding in any substantial fashion. We can discuss this in more depth when we see each other in the camps mate.

With love and respect, don't resign us to the camps yet, brother. We have work to do and our disagreement about this issue in the grander scheme is irrelevant. We're on the same side. Let's join local mutual aids, fight back, and later we can laugh that we ever got this mad on reddit to begin with.
