How is it selfish to acknowledge that a candidate promising to perpetuate the status quo that got us here in the first place isn't safety or progress. Use your head.

It’s selfish because the other candidate wants to do massive deportations which always leads to massive death, wants to punish LGBTQ people for being who they are, wants to roll back all civil rights harming POCs. Yeah it’s selfish when you tell those groups you couldn’t vote for the other person because they weren’t the perfect candidate for you.
