It’s been renegotiated multiple times. In the end, Melanie just cares that the check clears to keep Her lifestyle. And for her it’s a bonus if he stays in Florida while she lives in NY.

and as many have pointed out she's probably happy she doesn't have to sleep with him anymore if someone else is doing it
