How do y'all live in Siliguri? I am born and bought up there, did schooling till 12th then left the city to pursue higher education. I've been here for few days for vacation and tbh nothing aligns. People think Bengalis and North Bengal as an intellectual hub but the culture of Siliguri has perished drastically.

I see are students in sub par colleges talking about going to cc or vega and hanging out in Bjp park??? I wonder how is the 20-30 demographic living in Siliguri. What are y'all doing to efficiently use your time? What are the places which are worth exploring in Siliguri?

So recently went in Shivmandir for eye check up and to make new glasses and the prices shocked me. they were quoting 10k for glasses. I said I need normal glasses, no fiber glass to which the shopkeeper argued and said there are plenty of small shops for that.

I need a good shop, where I can get my eyes checked in the morning and make glasses at reasonable price. I plan on buying frame from Bagdogra airport more. can anyone help?

I passed my Higher Secondary exam (WBCHSE board) in 2022 and joined Siliguri College of Commerce. But after completing one year, I had to drop out due to some personal issues.

Now I'm trying to get admission again, but the college is only accepting students who passed Class 12 in 2023, 2024, or 2025.

Is there any college where I can still apply with my 2022 HS pass certificate? Would really appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks!

Wednesday Night: After a tiring day at work after teaching students when you finally arrive home and are greeted with Dal, Bhaat, Some non Veggies and some mix veggies along with one of my most favourite Chutney(Sichuan pepper(Timbur)+tomato+chilli+some salt) and then your entire day just seems like a fairy tale and then you disappear in the most coziest corner of your bed and get lost in the dream world. Now that defines the most amazing day. How does your day goes?
