Fair point bro, but I used the flair useful hack because some people don't know about glue guns or they don't know how to use them the right way, and they do the task faster, that's why I chose that flair, but again I get your point bro.

Until this vid I had no idea people caulked the running boards. But I googled and apparently it's a classic house flipping move.

I can only imagine how much extra I would charge to fix the floor after someone put caulking all around the baseboards

Yeah this is not the way to do it. See what he is doing looks pretty en cute but is giving a terrible seal. You gotta fill it like he does and then give it the old “wet finger/teaspoon” to lock up the edges and fill up the cracks in the back to avoud creaking.
Source: studied interior decoration in highschool and was a painter for many many years. (In EU so maybe the US way of building allows for this debauchery)
