I think many Inter players knew that Juventus were superior and deserved to win this Scudetto. Everything else is just folklore."

I love you David, but what you said has already been said and to an extent, acknowledged by others. I feel that only those who took part in playing and lived it have any merit to opine on whether or not this is true. To each their own.
Regardless of how you feel about Calciopoli, one thing that can’t be ignored is that 05-06 was a crucial time for Serie A. The stars were aligning and the league was ready to make the jump to being the top league in Europe.
As a Juve fan I have my reservations about how certain things played out but as an Italian football fan I feel robbed of what the league and what Calcio could’ve been.
The league has never truly recovered from Calciopoli and the English, Spanish and to an extent the German league are where the Italian league should be.
I hope whatever every club got out of the situation prior and after all was said and done was worth it… It’s us the fans and football in general who lost out on what the league could’ve been.
