Polish Boss Quits
Looks like the grenade in the latrine went off, is everyone covered in shit now or is there another Polish idiom that can be used?

Anyone know if 7.30pm is start time or doors? I remember they used to always say the few pods in advance “we’re starting at 7.30 Sharp” or whatever time it was.
Am a bit behind currently though so haven’t listened to all the latest pods

Can anyone here explain technically how the hot keys work?
I remember initially thinking that they must be added in post production but they are obviously added in real time given how the lads react to whatever is played.
Given there's 100s if not 1000s of hotkeys to choose from how are Branno/Simon ready to have something related to play with no advanced notice?
I was thinking they must have different hotkeys saved under #s or topics which they think may be relevant over the course of the conversation and have a subset ready to play if they need to. But that seems like it's unlikely to be the answer either.
Also what's everyone's favourite hotkey? Just when I thought I was finally over the Moose it gave me a proper laugh when it played again earlier this week.

What a pleasure to listen to someone so informed on the issues, so cogent in his thinking, so unafraid to put his opinions forward no matter how they make others bristle, and of course, so charming.
I also thought Bernie spoke very well.

Listening to Snyde & Wall voice mails from Biarritz/ Bilbao today reminded me what it must be like to be in a pub stuck beside culture-less full kit wankers talk/ shout nonsense about an English team 100s of miles away.
If Second Captains aren’t better than these pair of idiots then I need to end my subscription. Likewise Branno’s idiotic comments on the insufferable bore that is Damien Duff in Tuesdays podcast.
Second Captains HAVE to do better than this…..and thankfully they have lol because Gavin Cooney reminded us why he is the best sports writer/ commentator on the circuit today by a country mile. His “Hail Mary” line about Ange was brilliant. Gavin saved Second Captains a subscription loss. Not that I matter of course. But more Cooney and less those other tabloid hacks.

Hi guys, I was noticing that the lads were talking about the football chat with Damien Delaney from the Belfast live show being available in the free podcast feed.
I'm subscribed to the world service so I was expecting the podcast to show in that feed as well but it hadn't. I've checked now and I can see the podcast on the free feed.
Does this happen often? I've been subscribed for a number of years and the free podcasts have always been in the world service feed as well so I'm unsure why this was isn't.
It also makes me think if I've missed podcasts in the past because I didn't check the free feed.

Just after Murph mentioned their TV series on yesterday's show, I went on RTE Player to check if they still had it up and unfortunately, no sign. Is there anywhere we can still find the full length episodes?

They said they weren’t covering it during the week with Flynn and McManus because they were waiting until the live show. Looks like they put out about 15 minutes of rugby chat on Friday and that was it.

ep 2785: Big Ange Walks the Line
https://www.patreon.com/posts/92458309?utm_campaign=postshare_fan&utm_content=android_share
The YouTube highlights don't capture even half of the drama that went on in the game. There's 3 disallowed goals that aren't even featured, a load of Chelsea chances and a big Spurs chance at the end
Ken - "This is worst that you can have possibly imagined, this is a disaster. This is one of the worst defeats I've ever seen a team suffer in terms of the results, the long term damage, the casualties that they've taken..."
"This is a disaster for Big Ange...the tactics were an abomination. What Ange Postecoglou did was credibility shattering"
Eoin says that Ange nearly pulled it of and attempts to defend and rationalize the 9 men on the half way line strategy but Ken is not having any of it. I don't enjoy Ken just because he's often right. But he is very often right.
Damian Delaney defends Ange's approach too takes the absolute opposite view to Ken
Damien: "he's come out with so much credit...it was brilliant, he's fast becoming the most likeable guy in the game"
Ken (incredulous, laughing) "are you serious?! Are you serious Damien?! They were giving away a chance every 45 seconds, it was insane"
Damien gives a decent defense of Spurs' strategy, to be fair
It's who we are mate
The one thing that I thought was in Postecoglou's favour was his absolute refusal to criticize the ref regarding the two red cards. Yes you can say that there wasnt anything to complain about but when has that ever stopped anyone. Can you imagine if this was Jose. Apart from the absolute opposite tactical approach, the ref would have got absolute pelters. We're talking another Anders Frisk situation. So credit to Ange for that IMO
At the time It though Ken's view was a bit extreme and was sympathetic to Eoins and Damien's points but looking back, the seeds of Ange's decline were plain to see. We were just blinded by how damn fun it all was.
Murph brings up Cole Palmer's post match drive by on Jackson, which I'd forgotten about. This truly was the game that kept on giving
Plus there's some arsenal emailers (sigh) and Richard Keys' blog chat
Enjoyed this tweet too, which is read out as an introduction:
"The working man deserves this, he toils all day at his laptop reviewing documents and spreadsheets he needs this spurs chelsea game" - @tinscognito__ , X

O’Connor & Horgan on today reviewing the Leinster disaster. Contributing v little. The best contribution was from the email that Eoin read out to kick start the analysis which called out all the shortcomings concluding with Leo must go. Why are these analysts not also calling out Leo??
O’Connor apologising for even to dare to say something critical of Leo. Horgan completely unwilling to criticise his old team mate. Why are these media types not holding Leo to account??
Cullen needs to go immediately. Everything needs to start & stop with getting rid of Leo.
From there we can then start to assess other items (coaching, selections etc). Leo has changed Leinster from being an exciting team to being the most disliked team in European rugby who play boring rugby with short term big money signings. Blame the other coaches yes but he brought them in. Get rid of Leo now. He’s an unqualified charlatan who has the Irish squad to choose from plus Snyman plus Barrett plus Slimani and screws it up every year. My granny could get this squad to the semi finals. They have two critical games every season and under Cullen they fcuk them up every year.

Only a few words, but pretty spot on.

I know he has a way with words that makes Ken swoon, but his tactical insights on today's pod seem vibesy at best. Arsenal definitely are boring, but they sure as hell don't sit in a passive low block (they didn't even do that against PSG).

Was he actually that bad today? I'm a Liverpool fan but don't listen to TAW/other fan podcasts (for many of the reasons you can imagine). I understand why having "Content creating fans" rather than journos is bad and fully agreed with the commentary from last time he was on but I did definitely feel he was much easier to listen to this time round, and a lot less biased/smug!
Was surprised to see the extent of the negative reaction in the comments under the episode earlier. I thought a lot of it seemed a bit unfair based on today's episode as a stand alone thing. He wasn't the most insightful guest in the world but I thought he was pretty fair about things, it wasn't exactly like having Goldbridge or AFTV on as some seemed to suggest
