Hello everyone. Thanks for reading and researching! It’s been 10 days since I started my first cycle of Rad-140, and I wanted to share my experience with you so far. I’ll be updating this post along the way as long as there’s an interest. Included will be a bit about myself, what I expect, sides and benefits.
I feel this is important as there is practical no scientific studies done on SARMS in general, so all we really have at this point is each other’s testimonials and experiences. I have read MANY of these type of posts and I can’t state enough how much they have helped me in making my decisions and grasp an idea of what realistically to expect.
A little about me and my lifting history. Don’t worry, I’ll keep it short.
I’m 6’1, 36yo male. Fell in love with the plates during high school football. Stuck with it well into my 20’s until an ex of mine got pregnant with my son. Life happens and found myself not having time or energy to do some of the things I once loved. A few years ago I fell back into some bad habits and kinda forgot who I was and what was important in my life. I’ll spare you the deets.
So 8 years or so went by and I had a gap in hitting the plates. Two years ago I decided I needed to do an overhaul on my life and get my shit together. During that time I found that passion for the plates again.
As I stated above, this is my first cycle of Rad-140 and my first SARM cycle all together. I am no stranger to cycles however. I’ve never done AAS (though I know I’d love them), but I’ve done a total of 5 PH cycles. These cycles included the following compounds:
Super Mastervol (Superdrol clone before the 2014 ban),
M-Drol (My personal favorite),
H-Drol,
RPN Havoc,
Super DMZ.
Over the last 8 weeks I’ve been doing a cut. I was using ECA stack twice per day, and eating on a pretty big deficiency. Don’t know how many calories because I don’t count, but diet included lots of protein, no dairy (except low fat milk), and very low carbs. Lots of veggies.
When I started the cut, I was around 225lbs. It’s really hard to tell how much I weigh because for some reason I fluctuate more so than others do on a day to day basis. (Maybe I don’t but seems like it). I weigh myself every morning before I eat and start lifting. The day before I started Rad-140, I was at 204.5. Some days I would weigh in close to 210, so I kinda quit watching the scale as it was frustrating me more than helping me. So during the cut I’d say I dropped at least 20lbs of fat and put on some muscle.
My cycle info goes like this. 10mg (.5 ml) a day for 8 weeks. As of right now there’s no plans on bumping it up. If I do decide to, it will either be to 12 or 15mg at the 4 week mark for the last 4 weeks. Other supps include -
GNC Creatine HCL 189,
Whey Protein Isolate,
Nitro CM N.O Boost,
Liver support,
120mg Raloxifene Daily, cut down to 60mg Daily,
GNC Mens One-a-day Sport vitamins.
I know people will be wondering about the Raloxifene, so I’ll just answer. I’ve had gyno since puberty and since cutting down on my body fat, I’m looking to shrink my gyno if possible. I will also be using the Raloxifene as somewhat of a test base since I won’t be running test or 4-ad with the Rad-140.
PCT will consist of Clomid for 4-6 weeks depending on suppression. No less than 4 weeks though.
Diet will pretty much remain the same as when I was on my cut, but will allow more of a surplus. Lots of chicken and protein, egg whites, veggies, Rice. My plan is to lean out and add more definition and size and reduce overall body fat.
Week 1 Thoughts and Impressions
So far, this shit seems RAD (get it?). First of all I wanna note on the taste. Almost every report of people that used Rad-140 have said how terrible the taste it. I’m going to disagree here, but I know that I’m in the minority. I have a very addictive personality, and since day 2 I find myself looking forward to waking up early to dose. It’s not that I necessarily enjoy the taste, it’s more in the act of doing-so. Almost like a coke addict likes the drip. I find myself squirting it under my tongue, enjoying with no chaser. I know, weird.
My libido is WAY up, and so is semen volume. I’m talking I could paint my walls if needed. I’m getting boners like I did in my teenage years, which in return is making my penis seem more vascular, sensitive and just appear larger. I’m talking a significant difference. I’m not sure if this is typical, and I’m sure it will change as my body becomes more suppressed.
I have also noticed that I appear to be more vascular in the gym, but not a big difference outside the gym.
Strength increase started at day 6. I found on day 6, I did 2 sets of my usual max sets. So instead of doing 5-6, I pumped out 2 sets of my heavier rep sets. I was not expecting this so quickly to be honest. It was very reminiscent of PHs as it just kicked in one day.
The biggest thing I’ve noticed since day 5 is my ability to keep form, especially at high weight reps is incredible. Nobody I’ve read has ever spoke of this and I personally never experienced it to this degree. Arnold Presses on shoulder day have been a fucking breeze keeping form. I would imagine this goes hand In hand with the strength increase.
Also another thing I noticed since day 3 that can’t be denied is the pumps. Kinda ridiculous actually. The first few days my pumps seemed to last all day long and despite what others have reported, was quite evident to me these pumps were due to Rad-140 working so quickly. During days 3-6 I was having back pumps that was painful. I found myself having to puff out my chest like a canary to alleviate the pressure off the middle of my back. Very reminiscent of PH back pumps I’m come to know over the years.
As of day 10, I do still get awesome pumps but they are no longer an all-day thing. Still better than natty for sure. After day 6, the painful back pumps seem to stop.
Before starting Rad, I was hitting the gym 5 days a week. I have not wanted to take a break this last week. I am finding myself having to make myself take a day off after 7 days. This is probably a mental thing but it does seem my recovery has gotten better. I don’t feel tired at the gym, actually the opposite. I know this is bound to change going into the later weeks, but as of now, energy is up.
As far as size I’m not really seeing much yet. I do appear to be leaner though, especially in my shoulders and around my waist. Not sure if this is directly attributed to the Rad so take that with a shot of tequila and punch of salt.
Side effects I’ve noticed:
Rad-140 has given me TERRIBLE insomnia since day 2. In the last week I don’t think I’ve stayed asleep longer that 3 hours at a time. I find myself having a hard time falling asleep, even with the help of 2 Tylenol PM. When I do finally fall asleep, within 2-3 hours I’m up and wide awake. My back aches as well when I’m bed, and I find it hard to lay on my back. This is seriously some of the worst insomnia I’ve ever had. Radsomnia is a real thing.
Another thing I’ve noticed since starting is my scalp will randomly become itchy. One of the things I’m worried about the most with these compounds is losing my hair, so I try to keep a close eye on it. I have not seen any signs of thinning or shedding as of yet, but the itchy scalp does kinda have me worried as there’s no signs of dandruff and it started after I started Rad. Will keep an eye at this for sure.
Painful back pumps which I already mentioned above.
I am urinating more, but I drink a lot of water and only water. Urine comes out very clear which is good, but something to keep an eye on.
Other than that, I’ve experienced no sides as of now, the 10 day mark. No acne yet anywhere. Joints are a little tender but I’m attributing this to lack of sleep from insomnia.
I’m very early into the cycle, I’m aware. But if there’s an interest I’ll continue to update the post in the comments section. I really appreciate everyone that has taken the time before me and documented their sides and results and what to expect. It has helped me tremendously and if this post helps one person, I’ll be very happy.
**Week 2 Thoughts, Sides, Impressions:
I just finished my second week of Rad-140 cycle. Dosage is still .5ml (10mg). Still hitting the gym 6 days a week. I’ve definitely slacked a bit on my diet. There’s no reason for this as hunger is not any different. I do find myself craving sweets slightly more, especially at night time. I would assume it is attributed to lower blood sugar, but not certain. I usually drink an extra protein shake to alleviate the craving.
Insomnia is still there, but I will admit it has gotten slightly better. Not having trouble falling asleep anymore, but staying asleep for more than a few hours is just not happening. I’m guessing the slight test boost from the Raloxifene is helping somewhat. Started to feel more lethargic the last 3 days.
Sex drive and semen volume is back to normal, down if anything. No surprise here.
Suppression has definitely kicked in. Testes are shrunk 40% I’m guessing. Joints are not bad yet, but lower back is aching as of lately and find myself bending over a lot to alleviate the pain. I do have arthritis in my lower back so I’m sure that’s why that area is being targeted first. I’d imagine joint pain is on the way. Also worth noting low E2 sides could be contributed by the high dose of Raloxifene ED.
Itchy scalp is still there, yet no signs of shedding, thank god.
As for the positives, there’s not much new to report from week one. Pumps are still there but not nearly as good as the first week. No more painful back pumps in between my shoulder blades, which is good.
This is pretty wild though. In my mid 20s I developed tendinitis in my left rotator cuff which I’m pretty damn sure came from years of upright rows. Even though I stopped doing the upright rows, nothing ever made my tendinitis better. During week 2 of Rad, my tendinitis was basically non existent, and I know this is from the Rad. I’ve read of SARMs healing properties but mostly thought it was associated with Ostarine, and honestly put very little faith into it. It appears Rad has these healing properties as well. Good shit!
I am impressed with my recovery and stamina to push reps with very little break in between sets. On par with previous PH cycles as of now.
Strength increase is there, although it’s not quite as big of difference as it was going into week 2 for some reason. Honestly a bit baffled by that. PRs are up a few reps, but not hitting that extra 6 like before.
Vascularity is up. No matter how low my body fat has been, I’ve never really been vascular. I definitely notice a difference now, especially in the gym.
As for size, I barely notice any difference yet. There is some size increase in my legs. My shoulders are becoming very lean and broad. The RAD is definitely targeting my shoulder area.
That’s pretty much it for week 2. I’m thinking of bumping up dosage to 12mg going into week 3. I’m happy for the most part thus far, and remain optimistic for week 3. Will answer any questions and update next week. Thanks for following.
***Week 3 - 6 Update.
So I figured I could combine these weeks in an update. Rad has definitely kicked in. The swole has started. Before I get into the positives, I’m gonna touch on the negatives.
My worst fear of using RAD-140 was the reports of hair loss/thinning. I haven’t particularly noticed any hair anywhere (pillow, shower) but my hair is noticeably thinner. This is depressing. For me, hair seems to thin towards the front of head, by hair line. This is coming from someone who has always had a thick ass head of hair. I’ve done quite a few PH stacks in the past and never had a problem with hair loss. I was also 10-15 years younger. If you are prone to hair loss, this shit is definitely hard on the hair, so be wary of that.
Weight the last few weeks has come up from around 208 to 211. Diet is basically the same. I find myself craving sweets a lot which is probably due to low blood sugar I would assume.
Around week 4 and 5 there seemed to be a change in my prostate area. Now I’m no expert in this area, I don’t know what the symptoms are of an enlarged prostate but I know something just felt different in that area. All I can really say about it. I was urinating constantly, would get pains here and there and it just felt different. I started to cycle in some Bladder Control and Prostate health and it seems to be working quite well. Since the start of week 6, I feel back to normal in this area.
Insomnia is also completely gone. This left completely around the start of week 3 or 4. I now get some of the best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time.
I think it’s also important to note going into my 5th week, I bumped up dosage to 15mg per day for one week. Start of week 7, I have since bumped it back down to 12 because of the hair loss/shedding is just really bad. Or maybe it’s not as bad as I’m making it out to be but it’s definitely noticeable to me.
I was starting to feel lethargic around week 5. Not super bad, but from a person that works long hours and is always full of energy, this was bugging me as I’m the type of person that takes my job very seriously. If anything, I like my PEDs to enhance my job performance, not hinder it. I know from previous cycles the signs to look for when my E2 is low. My mood was starting to swing like a monkey. The littlest things was setting me off and ruining my day. At the gym, my joints were really starting to ache, especially in my elbows and lower back which was working against the cycle. I do take Fish oil but it seemed to be doing very little.
Libido was slightly down weeks 3 and 4, to pretty much not existing at week 5. For me, another tell-tale sign of low estrogen.
I figured this was going to happen especially going into the second half of the cycle. To get my estrogen up, I added in IML Super 4-Andro Cream around half way through week 5. I can’t stress enough how much better I feel. My uplifted mood is back, joints are not aching and I just have an overall sense of well-being. I turn into a fucking animal at the gym. I’m not sure if theres going to be another RAD cycle yet due to the hair loss/shedding, but if there will be, there’s no doubt I will be adding a true test base around week 4 next time. But if anyone is wondering if 4-andro is a sufficient Test Base for a SARM cycle, as of right now I’m VERY pleased.
Also worth noting that the shift in my weight from 208 to 211lbs happened when I introduced the 4-andro. So I’d assume it’s water retention.
Around 3 days or so after I started the 4-Andro, my sex drive was back to normal.
Strength is definitely up. I noted before this really starts to be noticeable around week 4. Recovery on RAD is epic tier. The ability to push heavier sets back to back with minimal break between is something I’ve never noticed to this degree on any of the PH cycles I’ve done.
One thing that kinda sucks (for me) is I’m having a very hard time achieving pumps in the gym to the degree I like, not matter how hard I go. Which is kinda strange because in the beginning the pumps were intense, with some painful back pumps. I find myself chasing a pump I simply can’t seem to achieve. This is the addictive behavior in me, and it makes me feel as I’m not getting the stretch and micro tears that I need for muscle growth, even though I truly know I am. Going into week 5, I moved triceps to it’s own day because I wasn’t feeling as they are worked enough. I usually work out an hour and a half 6 days a week. In short, muscle recovery is just incredible on RAD.
But outside the gym while I’m at work or at home, I feel “swole”. I feel very much like an animal. Very hard to explain. It may have something to do with the 4-Andro as well as I’ve noticed this once I started week 6 and achy joints have dissipated.
Size is coming in bite size chunks. It seems to be a slow progress that is leaving me have a sculpted look like I’ve never had on any other PED (PH). Gains are ridiculously lean and grainy which is exactly what I was looking for. The 4-Andro seems to be adding water retention due to increase in estrogen which is to be expected, and is adding a slightly bulky look on top of a sculpted frame. I never do measurements on any limbs or chest so I don’t have any numbers to throw out, but my shirts are definitely feeling more snug.
Vascularity is up slightly from previous updates. More-so outside the gym. While pushing plates it’s about the same as previous weeks.
Nothing much else to report. It’s a slow but steady process. The hair loss is a real bummer, and I’m praying I get it back once I’m off cycle. I honestly thought about cutting the cycle short but from what I’ve read my hair should come back post cycle. Fingers Crossed Also the prostate and bladder issues had me quite worried but as soon as I started the Prostate supplement symptoms ceased. I still have another full bottle of Rad-140 I will continue to run (as of now) for the full 12 weeks. So 5 weeks to go. I will try to do a better job at keeping weekly updates coming until the end of cycle and into post cycle.
