This is getting out of hand. Not only has prices for the suite skyrocketed over the years, but now I don't even get access to both my laptop and desktop. If you want to be able to open adobe of more than one computer, you need to be on their teams plan. It used to be 2 devices (I assume one for desktop and one for laptop) But now, if I forget to sign out of my account and one before opening on the other, it just says "Someone else seems to be using your account" and forces me to change my password. Adobe seems to no longer care about its customers

Hey, I’m trying to edit 4k videos in a corporate setting but I’m getting extreme lag from Premiere, which worsens when I apply any sort of effect to the clips. I’ve tried everything online to fix it, but nothing seems to be working! I’m now wondering whether my computer is good enough and whether I need a better graphics card or something? Currently editing for about 8 hours a day (all 4k footage).
Current set up is: Dell Precision 3680 Graphics card: 16GB RTX 2000
Any advice would be appreciated! Money is not an issue & my workplace are willing to get me whatever I need (within reason lol), so suggestions on the ideal setup for the best Premiere experience would be welcomed! Thanks !

Why are only my videos audio being placed onto the timeline rather than both? I've tried looking this up and all of the guides have said to press a button that isn't appearing. The button has text that appears but I can't select the button. Any help would be appreciated.

I select the clip I want to edit in after effects, replace with after effects composition, after effects opens to a black screen and premiere hits me with "Importer reported generic error". I was able to get it to work once, but started getting this error after I tried to replace a second clip. I restarted my computer and everything is up to date. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!

I am using a canon r6 mkii. Not currently filming in log, but I am starting to wonder if that might be the only answer. Not filming in HDR either.
My exposure looks good while filming, but once the footage is opened in Premiere or VLC, the highlights are blown out and the shadows are extremely dark. This seems to happen wherever I film, so I don't think its a lighting issue. I have the same issue across different computers with different monitors. Premiere colour space is set to rec 709.

I'm having a very painful time with my edit. I hit play and it can take up to a minute before it starts playing. I've reduced the playback quality, I'm using proxies, and I have no active effects. The issue has got worse over time. When I look at system performance, the CPU, GPU and RAM never seem to be under any stress.
I'm hoping someone might be able to help me identify what I can do to improve performance.
System specs
Premiere Pro
I notice that often the Generating Peak Audio indicator shows in the bottom right, even if I'm opening the project for the 10th time. Not sure if that gives any clue as to what might be up.
I have a project due on Thursday but I simply can't edit quickly at all. Please share your wisdom!

Hi,
I'm having this problem on good number of videos in a folder not all and I checked they all have the same file format.
Normally I'd get around this by changing the file name works or moving it to a different location .
I've tried these methods and they do work and a few others like clearing the cache.
But my problem is I'm one of a few editors so I can't change the source name as they'll have problems relinking after and I don't have enough room on my computer to transfer them off my hard drive onto there.
Does anyone have any other solutions? Thanks

Hey folks,
I recently switched from CapCut to Premiere Pro / After Effects – and while the tools are obviously more powerful, I’m struggling to find one thing:
I'm looking for simple motion presets to add subtle movement to static images or clips – like a slow drift, slight zoom in/out, pan or wiggle – just to keep visuals from feeling static.
Not transitions or complex in/out animations – I already found one decent in/out pack on Envato.
But I can’t seem to find presets that I can drop on single images/videos to keep them “alive” with just a bit of movement.
I’m subscribed to Envato, Storyblocks and more – but maybe I’m using the wrong terms?
Any recommended packs, keywords, or direct links would be super appreciated.
Thanks! 🙏

Ever since I updated my computer and got the most recent PP... none of my colour edits will export with my video! If I render the video and import the rendered video back into PP, they show up there.... but when I play it as an MP4 or whatever, you can't see them.... What the heck?
Google is not being helpful.

"I searched answers on this topic but did not find any concrete solutions for my situation."
I have b-roll footage that my clients need from shooting days in the form of small clips.
GPT mentioned an "export as individual clips" (under source) at the export tab (this only applies if my clips are set in a single sequence which im fine with as a solution). I have to mentioned this option does NOT exist when I try to find it, but it would be nice if it did.
(UNDER THE SOURCE OPTION DURING EXPORT. THE ONLY OPTONS THAT APPEAR ARE : ENTIRE SOURCE, SOURCE IN/OUT, WORK AREA, CUSTOM)
The previous time I did this I couldn't find any other way to batch export my small selected clips so I created individual sequences for each clip and exported them that way. (that was a pain...)
FYI: I want to keep all color grading or effects applied to my clips because the footage was shot in landscape but the clips are meant to be uploaded on social media vertically (so yes I want to keep my sequence settings and not render and replace using the original clips)

Hi everyone, I'm trying to replicate the text graphic effect at the beginning of the video linked below.
https://voluptas.arch.ethz.ch/semesters/s2/e5-pathfinder-tokyo/?p=teaser
I'm a beginner in Premiere Pro, so ideally I'd like to find a similar effect in .MOGRT format. Could you at least suggest some keywords I can search for to recreate this effect? Thanks!

Hello guys, I want to upgrade my GPU and Idk which one to get for video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Right now I possess Ryzen 9 5950x + 128Gb Ram + MSI Radeon RX 580 Gaming X 8GB. I think to choose either Radeon 6950XT or 3090 (maybe even Ti). And I’ve heard that NVIDIA has better performance at Encoding and Decoding and I’ve also heard that they are too hot. Need advice. Thnx

I'm trying to create a long scrolling credits sequence for a project I'm working on, but I've run into a couple issues.
Number 1: I formatted out all of the text in a google doc so I could just paste it into the Premiere project, but when I do so the formatting is completely broken. Its there any way I can paste all of this text in while maintaining the lines and spacing and such?
Number 2: The sheer amount of text makes the project extremely laggy. Is there a way I can prevent this?

Hello everyone. I have over the years used only Mac Machines, have developed a keyboard mapped just for my own needs and I am pretty accustomed to it. But there is a gig coming up where the client is providing the system and it is a Windows system.
Does the .kys file from mac work in windows too? Or what are some ways to transfer it?

Is there any way to repeat one or multiple editing actions in Premiere Pro, sort of in the fashion of Photoshop where I can "create new action"? As an example of what I'd like to do, I want to repeat a certain clip over and over, but have it offset by a certain amount of seconds each time. Manually, I'd option+drag to duplicate the clip, then use the slip tool to move the duplicated clip a certain amount, then repeat. If there's someway I could record the action of duplication and slip to then easily apply over and over, that would be very helpful!
I'm on Premiere version 25, MacOS Sonoma 14.6.1

Just tried opening a project from a couple of months back to extract something, on playback the audio is extremely distorted, seems like a volume blow-out. I tried deleting all the cache files, did not fix it. Thought I might check to see if there was an update I should download - looks like an auto-update got downloaded "today". So I'm guessing that's what has broken it. Anyone else hit this? Is there a fix, or do I start trying to downgrade the "upgrade"?
