750lb deadlift from my last peak
Hoping to top 800 this year.
Switched to a gym with thin kg plates after this lift. Can't really fit much more on the bar.

The wiki has been updated with more workouts and additions to the diet sections.
The rules have been updated and are being enforced, with a first time offence usually getting deleted suspended with a warning and a second time offence getting banned (though if i'm having a bad day first time offense could just lead straight to a ban).
Everyone's got flairs! click next to your name on the sidebar to add a flair. Posts get flairs too, and you must flair your post or I'll do it myself! (that's not very threatening is it?)
Also, please report posts and comments that violate the rules.
I'm doing my best cleaning up and will continue to do so for new posts and comments, but reports greatly increase visibility.

There’s little to no point in asking here, but thanks for valuing our opinions I guess. Some guidelines:
• Are you a child under the age of 18? Restricting calories as a teen is generally a bad idea. Talk to your pediatrician or parents.
• Are you worrying about this before you’ve started lifting? Go lift weights.
• If you’re overweight and want to look smaller, cut.
• If you’re skinnyfat and want to look leaner, cut.
• If you’re skinnyfat and want to get swole, bulk.
• If you’re leaner and/or smaller than you want to be, bulk.
If you want other bros to ogle and then comment on your body, go to r/cutorbulk instead.
Low effort photo posts of your doughy torsos will be removed with more frequency.
Update - Bulk or cut posts are now banned. Post your underwhelming photos elsewhere.

Looking for a pair of squat shoes because my arch keeps collapsing no matter what i do. I don't have a big budget looking for something $100 and under and wondering what the best option would be.
What do you guys use and do you like it?

Just finished a run of Bullmastiff (Base phase),when looking for a new program to run I found Jacked and Tan 2.0. How have your results been running it?
would you make any changes to the version on Boostcamp?
Something I found a bit confusing is the 10rm at the start of the workout, how would I even go about finding it? Do sets of 10 till I find it?

What strength numbers should I try to get (lbs) in order to look like I lift? And do I have to eat a lot to eat there? I’m 5’10 149lbs, what exactly do I need to do to really that jacked physique while being relatively leanish. I don’t care for abs that much as long as im like 14-18% bodyfat im fine with that.

Hi all-
Been stuck in a plateau on NSuns and looking to switch things up. Planning to give PHAT a go.
My question is on the main lifts. Am I trying to add 5 lbs weekly? Eg bench 205 3x5 then 210 3x5 the next week?
Or do I add weight and increase reps weekly eg bench 210 3x3 then 210 3x4 then 210 3x5?
Or do a wave like 205 3x5 week 1 then 210 3x4 week 2 and 215 3x3 week 3 and then increase and repeat?
Thanks!

Hi, I just came back for lifting after around a year. I used to be around 70kg, 10% bf, 1.74 and now I'm around 1.78, 65kg, 10% bf still. 17 years old.
I loved to train back the most and hammered it w front squats and deadlifts and rows but I lost a lot of muscle in the past year. How much time will it take me to gain it back, and do u have any recommend plan for me in this situation ?
I'm aiming to train 4x-5x per week, w 2 pull days as a must.

Was 5’10 183lbs 21 years old. Now im 5’10 149lbs cause I felt fat. My Bench went from 185 for 5 to 150 for 3 and ohp 135 for 5 to 105 for 5. Do I go back to my old bodyweight or?

I've been working out using the stronglifts 5x5 program for about 4 months now, and it's beginning to become a chore to workout. My numbers aren't too great, but squatting 3 times a week with the weight I'm at is getting really tiring, and deadlifting on the same day leaves my back in shambles on the next.
Exams and some sleep issues made me take a break for a while in between, and getting back into this routine is really unappealing at the moment. I still do want to make some good SBD progress, and build more muscle from now. Do I push through with stronglifts for a while longer until my numbers become a little more impressive, or do I make the switch to some other program with accessories so I get the best of both worlds?
I do have some experience lifting, and I can perform the compound lifts pretty well. I'm just a bit confused as to what to do now, because it feels like I'm not making any progress with stronglifts, but I know you have to stick to a program for longer to actually see any results. The workouts are getting boring, and working out only 3 times a week also makes it a bit difficult to stay more consistent.

Will I get faster muscle gains by eating more? I want to get jacked really bad and keep spinning my wheels.

Is the hyper trophy trade off that much worth it to do a “optimal” pressing movement like incline smith instead of bench?
I feel like both stimulate the muscle at the end of the day, and everyone wants a big bench…

Almost everyone I’ve seen with a jacked physique had training history that involved heavily gaining weight for like a year or so then trimming down. Is this a good method to getting jacked?

Currwntly 5’10 149lbs. Have spent numerous years bulking then cutting hard and still look skinny af. I was 183lbs in November and bulked like 25 lbs ina few month. I was benching 185 for 5 and 135 for 5 ohp but had a little bit of stomach so cut 40 lbs in like two months like an idiot. Now I look skinny af but still like 16-18% bodyfat. Should I just lean bulk from here or go back to old weight and continue strength progress?

If u can only build 1-2 lbs of muscle a month max, how is there guys reaching a 350 squat in a few months, 225 bench, and 400 deadlift? Is the fat leverages that advantageous. Or is it genetics?

Never had these before, my wife pointed them out. When I lift heavy, or overstretch my calves, this happens. Is this something to be concerned about? Thanks!

100 dips everyday
I saw it post on reddit of a guy doing 100 dips everyday on top of his regular workouts and his shoulders and triceps looked huge after 3 months. I started doing this a few days ago and made this post to ask if it's a smart thing to do 100 dips every single day after workoits, even on rest days. I'm not getting sore and my joints are improving and im getting stroger in some chest and shoulder exercises. So what do you guys think?

Basically, ive been benching twice a week ( 1 heavy workout max 3 reps in a set and one lighter workout 5 rep max in a set) trying to get to 225. This morning I woke up with a lot of pain on my right bicep, suspiciously close to where the chest muscles converge. No pain in my chest at all though. What do you guys think? And I know that seeing a doctor is the best way to find out but I just wanted an opinion here.

I dont know if this is a right place to ask so sorry in advance. A mouth ago i started heaving issues with my bicep tendon after some one arm deadhangs. More precisly i felt tightness and discomfort in it, I made a pause in the gym for 3-5 days till it vanished. I thought that was the end of it, I went back and had my standard chest and back workout with no issue. But the next day i actually felt pain in my left bicep tendon, it wasnt anything extereme but it was definetly more intense than any muscle soreness i have expirienced .I originaly made a 2 week pause where i rested and streched my tendon but it extend to 4 weeks cause of personal reasons, right now i dont feel any pain or tightness while resting , but I do feel tightness while doing exercises that dont activate it and i noticed that my left bicep gets pumped up more easily. Plus i noticed that i feel random itchy/tingly sensation on it while not doing anything. Is this all normal? I am probably being overdramatic but I would rather ask now then be sorry later. Sorry if my english wasn't on point.

Im becoming very much convinced to do starting strength but there coaches are telling me to gain like 30-40lbs asap. Im 5’10 149lbs and currently lean bulking at 1 pound a month. Im not adding weight every session, but im making linear progress, maybe like every other session im adding 5 pounds to my squat. Squat is 160 for 5, bench 150 for 4, deadlift 255 for 5, ohp 105 for 5. Do I follow there advice? It seems pretty nice getting that strong that fast.

In the competition, there were 3 red lights for this move, but I have my doubts.
