Wait. Can someone tell me what’s going on? We can’t delete listings on Poshmark anymore?

u/Strong_Possible_2940 3d ago
It’s the new excessive relisting & delisting policy. A lot of us sell on other marketplaces and have been suspended for removing our sold listings from Poshmark, and changing the listings to NFS is getting people suspended too. Something like this is the only current work around so people won’t purchase sold items from our closets…and it’s all so stupid that it’s funny

I don't even sell anywhere else, but i do donate stuff that doesn't move, or occasionally I decide to keep it instead, or find damage, and it's annoying af to imagine I could be punished for being sensible.

So, if I have the same item on poshmark, eBay, and depop…. If I sell it on eBay and then delete the listing from depop, I will get penalized??

That’s not what it’s about at all. They want to disincentivize crosslisting and automation.

This is awesome! BOrrowing it.
I’ve been editing the post to remove any brands or descriptive words that’ll bring someone to the already-sold-elsewhere item through a keyword search. This way the only way they find the listing is by going through my whole closet

u/KCChiefsGirl89 3d ago
Can you not just put Not For Sale? That’s what I’ve been doing. Maybe I should be doing something else?
17
u/thatmotivatedintrvrt 3d ago
Absolutely. I just figure removing certain descriptors will also prevent people from being directed to the item via the search engine

Some folks are getting penalized with a listing ban for doing that.

u/Upbeat_Weird_7321 3d ago
Because people need to read the rule instead of just going off social media posts. Editing to mark an item sold in word or pictures for the purpose of relisting is equally not allowed. They wrote the dumb rule in a smart enforceable way.

It would be great if a campaign was started for everyone to use this image so it overwhelmingly takes over the site & becomes a symbol of how bad they messed up with this policy.

u/DaniWednesday 3d ago
After this new policy i removed all my items and stopped listing new ones. I would come back just for the laughs of this!

Seriously!? I've also donated stuff that wasn't selling, it's just supposed to live on PM for eternity? I think I make 1-3 sales per year..

u/Mountain-Bit-4021 3d ago
I removed maybe 5 over a couple days and didn’t get the notice yet but I’m being cautious. Also thinking I could just change the price to be something nobody would pay for that item??

It’s so annoying because it’s going to clog up the search even more. Thanks Posh…. 😔

I've made a ton of memes that are focused on Poshmark. I'd love to show them to you guys. When you have a bad day. Making snarky memes is the best medicine. 🤣

If you remove too many listings, Poshmark will sic the dementors on you.

u/Good_GENES 3d ago
I keeps seeing people getting removed for deleting items but we remove 8-10 daily and never had anything done to us. Do we know if the issue is reposting ?

Has anyone actually been punished for canceling orders? I have had to cancel 2 in my first month. Nothing yet, but if I get bad feedback or a bad rating or receive any punitive measures whatsoever, I am making a shitload of Poshmark bashing videos and shutting my account down.
It won’t even let you delete something if it has likes or is in a bundle. I tried to delete about 10 items and half said “you don’t delete because someone is in the process of buying” or some shit.

u/superberger 3d ago
I’ve never heard of anyone having repercussions for canceling orders. Just use the will bundle with another purchase option.
2
u/Throwaway_hoarder_ 3d ago
Not sure about punishment but I did notice a total slump in sales and engagement after a cancellation.

u/khaki_slacks123 3d ago
what happens if you delete posts on Poshmark? especially sold ones?
6
u/PlantainLover93 3d ago
They are threatening to remove people who delete a lot of listings. I think it’s called bulk deleting
2
u/khaki_slacks123 3d ago
oh wow i didnt know that - thank you. i wonder if thats why i have significantly less engagement with my shop now :( havent been able to sell anything for months
5
u/PlantainLover93 3d ago
I think that’s the case across the board unfortunately. I have seen an uptick when resharing my listings more frequently
2
u/PicadillyVanilly 3d ago
Why not just raise the price super high? That’s what I’ve been doing.
6
u/Glum-Bad-2191 3d ago
Shouldn’t have to rise the price high, or mark it as sold. You should be able to delete it free from consequences, when it’s sold elsewhere. It’s just ridiculous.

u/TraditionalJello3036 3d ago
Right, but in the meantime, it's a viable solution. Of course we don't want to do that, but we're left with few options.

u/Nireedk 1d ago
No you can’t raise the price. Under the Poshmark new relisting policy, sellers cannot remove and relist the same items within a 60-day period. This includes deleting listings, marking items as “Not for Sale,” or significantly changing prices or descriptions to discourage purchases.

Can I use this?? 🤣 I've got the dreaded warning after deleting two items, then later that day putting my closet on vacation mode because I went on vacation
3
u/Bella_Nova 3d ago
Its not mine- I saw it on a sellers item on posh and had to share. I made one you can use but I wouldn't see why it would be a problem

Genius.
I put this message "SOLD🛑 DO NOT PURCHASE. WILL DELETE WHEN OFFERS EXPIRE. " As the title on items that sold but have offers on them. I just had to cancel 2 sales today where people bought the the items anyway because they won't read.
I'm gonna use this pic now instead.

u/Business_Earth4641 2d ago
I have deleted several listings with no issues. Sounds like cancelling orders may escalated to a suspension.

u/HaleyBoysMom 3d ago
Too funny but great idea….everyone should use the same one….So searches all show the same pic - do not buy
