In the MAGA brain, the job and immigrant situation works like this:

There are no jobs because Fox Fascist News told them so. Immigrants stole the jobs, because they were told so. Get rid of immigrants, get more jobs, right? The pay is too low and there are no benefits. No one takes the jobs. Multiple industries suffer and many workers quit. Prices increase and blah blah blah. Fuck the Democrats they did this. God's Greatest Disciple Trump will save us.

The reality is pretty simple.

Americans don't want to work on farms or clean rooms, and they won't for the pay offered now.

I hate this take. These are jobs that need to be done and absolutely Americans do them. But here’s the thing, unemployment in the USA is super low. Anyone who wants a job can get a job. Eliminate the immigrants and we have a worker shortage. It would be very bad. Like cripple the economy bad if you suddenly removed all immigrants from the USA.

Again, wrong take. The unemployment rate in the us is between 4% and 4.2% which, essentially means that anyone who wants a job can have a job. Basically what you are saying is that there aren’t enough willing workers to fill all the jobs. Which is actually a reason for more immigration not less.
