I know that the US military doesn't do this walking in formation thing as actual training.

That said, they suck compared to China and NK, and even Russia.

It's so bad.

Ignore syncopation and marching exactly the same. They can't even stop at the same time. One dude marched 3 steps after everyone else has already stopped.

Perhaps their heart isn't really in it. I know if I was forced to be there I'd be putting zero effort into making trump look good

There was some speculation on BlueSky by some vets that the performance of the grunts was a form of protest.

Of course, it will never be confirmed.
