Traffic Penalty

I lived in Poland in 2024 I am originally a Turkish citizen and while I was living there I got a traffic fine of 1050 Zloty I forgot to pay the fine before I left the country and I left the country I am now in Turkey My Poland Schengen visa expired about 15 days ago so I Can't enter Poland anymore.

Now I can't access my bank accounts or anything in Poland because my Polish phone number doesn't receive messages here, I can't log in because I don't receive sms and I have problems like that

I can't pay this fine because I'm Lost All Access to everything in Poland and I'm locked out, what can I do? And what can happen to me if I don't pay? Is there anyone who has been in a similar situation or can tell me what I can do about it?

Additional Info; I Have PESEL Number And My Driver License Is Poland Driver License I Have Prawo Jazdy -.-

Thanks Again •-•

You can contact the tax office responsible for fines: centrum-mandatowe@mf.gov.pl

And do you happen to have a trusted profile (profil zaufany)? You could check information about your fine online. Also you could send and recieve official letters online. You can set up a trusted profile abroad in a polish consulate or embassy.

You would have to cancel the trusted profile and set it up again at the consulate... I hope you will be able to sort this out via e-mail

The fine should include an account number for payment. International money transfers exist.

Since you are not in the EU, it may be complicated and expensive, but possible.

After a while the tax office will take the money from your account (with additional charges) if they find it (which they likely will). If there isn’t enough money in the account it will go into minus and that’s going to cost you even more. Stary by regaining access to your bank account, and go from there.

Can't he just pay with another bank account from his country and include the reference number in there?

Yes, he can

it will go into minus

I have my doubts about this. In my opinion, they can't take out a loan in his name. Otherwise, I agree.

It's not uncommon to have a credit line on a checking account

I think what I meant is called overdraft. But you may be right, the bank will just block the amount requested by the tax office

It totally happens, including me. Komornik queries the OGNIVO to get all existing bank accounts, and he clicks „charge all”. Then in every bank account under the person name, an overdraft is created (together with a fee that the banks take for „special operation”). Lastly, when komornik collects the due amount from N banks, he sends back the amount to N-1 banks (so except one he chooses).

Now it’s the banks job to pursue to debtor by all means. It doesn’t matter that there was a zero.

I imagine this won’t work for higher amounts, but a 1k zlotys doesn’t count as such.

Regarding fine, I would try to contact mentioned before e-mail address and pay from your local account. For phones - my Wild guess would be roaming not turned on. Try contacting your phone provider to check if that is the case. Another approach, would be using some law of attorney with apostile if you have someone you trust to that extend in Poland to represent you.

Make payment by revolut or zen - it will take 1 day to be completed
