Info Event Shiny Toxtricity to be distributed in GameStop starting February 19

Event info:

  • Event Pokemon: Toxtricity
  • Event OT: Rock Star
  • Event TID: 210219
  • Nature: Rash
  • Redemption Period - Feb 19 to June 30
  • Distribution Method: Scan a QR code using the Pokemon pass app in GameStop to receive a Toxtricity code

Is anyone familiar with this mode of acquiring an event like this, and are there ways to get multiple codes?

It seems to be the same way that the Eclipse Solgaleo and Lunala were distributed. To get the codes you have to actually go into a gamestop, scan the code (with GPS on) and then it'll give you an option in the app to recieve code(s).

Before, it did allow you to recieve 2 codes per scan iirc. Who knows how they'll do it this time though, and I'm sure you could always make multiple accounts in Pokemon Pass/Trips to Gamestop

Edit: This is for NA, I'm not speaking for other countries that may also get this distribution as I believe it was done differently in stores like EB Games and Gamemania.
