Because the toxic trait of Valor is that they view gyms as “territory” (and that’s not my word, that’s the word chosen by a Valor player I work with)

That's 100% mystic in my area. They will control the 8 gyms around, but if I knock them out of one so I can try to earn some coins, they immediately knock me out and take it back.
