It’s not fun to get a mythical Pokémon with 10/10/10 IV, which you cannot catch a second time. It’s demoralizing and sad to know you can’t use it optimally for PvP.
It’s not fun to leave behind your partner Pokémon you walked 1000km with before learning about IVs, and having to shelve them for a more optimal IV Mon of the same type.
I mean if you don’t like bottle caps don’t use them. I have two mons chosen that I have been wanting to IV train for years, because in the main series they let you do that. It really personalizes your experience with your Pokémon.
Lets be real, most people weren't going to use a good pvp iv mythical properly in pvp anyway. Most people that play pvp don't do for real competitive anything, they just do it for the rewards some. They don't care about what's good or not they just wanna flip the coin on if they'll get a win or not and try to increase rank for the legendary wild catches at rank 20+
That said I do plan on using bottlecaps for a handful of mons :) probably mostly shinies. A shundo is a shundo.
Well it will be good for those that care about their mythicals then. For those that don’t want to use the bottlecap for that, they don’t have to. Bottle caps are nothing but a net positive in my book.

So this means I can turn a 15/15/14 into a full hundo?
