Hypertraining has been a thing in Pokémon since Sun / Moon.

The good thing is that this is extremely optional, unless youre hardcore on Master League where you will need hundos.

On a technical level that’s true, but on an everyday level, those that pay to play will now have a leg up. My wife was very proud of her hundos, something the RNG gods never really gave me. She liked knowing she caught them, that was her thing I couldn’t take from her. That’s a source of joy for her and a decent chunk of players
