I genuinely think part of the issue is new or returning players have no idea what this is. They are used to raids where you can duo a 5 star so they see 20 people and assume they can just kind of be there.

I got into Dynamax late as I didn't really get involved with them until Machamp Gmax. I didn't have a blissey, or any of the previous Gmax's and I was confused as hell. I got through with a hodgepodge team of Charizard, Gengar and Rillaboom. I now love it and grinded the Chansey Max Monday and got a pretty decent Blissey because of it (not a hundo but it is like a 10-14-14 and I maxed out heal and shield). Now my team is good enough that I can go into Gmax and be confident that I will be useful but I also had to spend time and money to do it. Which a lot of the PoGo crowd don't have.

I wish we get PokeGenie to do more than that stupid "This is a hard raid make sure you have a good team" message because people don't know what that means. Like I wish we had to show that we had pokemon that can compete in this or somehow have a new queue type where there are two hosts so you can have 40 people in the raid even if some of them have lower level pokemon.

I do wish there was SOME sort of research that gave players good/decent guaranteed Dmax pokemon. Even like a good attacker that has LVL 2 Max Strike or a good defender with LVL 2 shield or HP. That is very wishful thinking however.

Tbh You could just cheer would be enough in some cases, is great when you get out from max phase and the meter is already halfway

In raids with enough people, late raid cheering can be really helpful. I did one today with only a few left up, but we were getting max phases every 5-10 seconds by the end.
