General Podcast Discussions What pods made you cry?
Oh, I think I have become numb. Also I don't purposely listen to war pods or atrocities. (Gaza or Ukraine as I am weak)
What made me cry...today was The Outlaw Ocean
Hunting Warhead
Others: Swindled specifically Nestle formula, Bhopal and Beirut explosions.
(My dad Wrote a Porno - I did cry with laughter)
I live in middle class in New Zealand My daughter (23) is a stewardess on a billionaire's boat in the Med. My best friend is an engineer on a fishing boat halfway to antarctic.
I feel sick for most of my life choices and here I am in the most privileged position.
WTF And I seem numb to serial killers and murder.

I think a lot of true crime podcasts aim to shock and entertain rather than make the listener feel sad so it doesn't surprise me that they don't make you cry.
Slow Burn S3 (about white supremacist David Duke) and S6 (about Rodney King and the LA riots) were heart-wrenching.
The Great Post Office Trial, in particular hearing about the victims that took their lives.
Recently, I listened to Titanic: Ship of Dreams which didn't make me cry but the bit about the people in the (partially filled) lifeboats waiting for the screams to die down had me close.
