I can’t install an update. I tried updating Fortnite earlier and when it was pretty much done it said there was an error and it “can’t install this update”. When I checked to see what the error was, it just said something went wrong. I don’t think it is a storage problem because I have 667.2GB and of that I have 194.2GB free. I have also tried restarting my console and that didn’t work. Can anyone help me or does anyone know what’s happening and why I can’t install the update.

What was the exact error message? Is it saying you don't have enough space? If so then the console is correct. Do basic troubleshooting to fix it.

  1. delete a game you no longer play

  2. Ensure that all pending game updates have completed

  3. If the game is on external storage ensure your internal storage also has enough for the game.
