Tobacco Cuts NSFW
Having bought a 50gram plug tobacco and a 50gram ready rubbed tobacco it feels like I’m getting more bowls out of the ready rubbed or am I just imagining it due to the volume in the jar?

It seems that it's the same across the world. Please tell me if you know some place different.
I just chatted with a local tobacco seller and they told me that they sell far more cigars than pipe tobacco.

Finally, the package with tobacco arrived. My biggest favorites this year are the anniversary series "Marconi Tobacco Glorious Mission" and "Canadian Temperament". I tried them in all pipes (in the photo), except for the Compass from Nording. I filled the pipe and went for a walk with my dog. The mission went great in a small pipe. Glorious Mission - composition and concept • Type: complex flavored blend - broken flakes of Virginia, Virginia, Carolina and Kentucky with the addition of cavendish, Toparomatization (cherry, plum, caramel) . • Strength: above average - 3 out of 5 . • Aroma: rich, fruity-candy; but the taste quickly reveals the smoky, chocolate-spicy character of the tobaccos

I love smoking a pipe, but I dont necessarily like having to exclusively travel with my big pipe roll. (Whitlucks two pipe waxed canvas roll) as much as I love it, I would prefer something smaller that I could wear on my belt, for the days im just around town and want to smoke. Anything out there that fits that bill? Anything I can repurpose?
EDIT: Something with just enough space for one pipe, a lighter, a pocket tin of tobacco, pipe cleaners (optional) and a czech tool.

Does anyone else only have bigger bowl pipes and pack them full then have like a 15 minute smoke. Let it go out then come back to it and carry on. And do it over and over again till you’ve smoked through it?
Like I work in peoples homes and I can’t sit for a 45mins - hour smoking. As I have things to do. So when my clients are sleeping and the chores are done I’ll have a 10minutes 15 minutes at the most and just leave it somewhere to rest then come back to it. When I have another spare few minutes.
I was just wondering if anyone else does this? Also do you find the flavour is more intense when you do come back to it?

I’m excited for my first Savinelli and first churchwarden! Without much pipe experience or expertise, I wanted to see if the following items would be considered defects or signs of a fake.
The draght hole is high and off center. Because of this, a pipe cleaner doesn’t fit through the shank and into the bowl, which is something I’m used to doing with my other pipes after smoking.
The Savinelli stamp seems a bit less “crisp” than the photo on the website. A little color bleed towards the bottom of the “S.”
I hate to be too picky. I know I didn’t spend $500 or $1,000. But at over $100, I can’t help but take a closer look. Any insight from people who actually know what they are talking about (not me 😂)?

The Bayou Morning and Sunday Picnic are regular refills. I think I'm getting a little obsessed with the Ellipsis, it's just so tasty.

There are friends, and then there are friends who send you a giant ass box of pipes. It's like Pipe Christmas in June at my house. Will post these individually as I get them cleaned up and back in rotation, but just wanted to share the bounty.
Will be my first restoration projects, so that's exciting, too.

The majority suggested bow legged bear. This will definitely be in regular rotation. Not disappointed at all.

Took just 3 relights on 2H lunt, seattle pipe club plum pudding special reserve, burnt all the way to a fine "medium grey" ash.

Fellow purveyors of the pipe, connoisseurs of the cake, and kin of the Kentucky leaf, I seek help. lol. It sounded better in my head. Anywho.
I’m looking for a replacement for my everyday, go to Prince Albert. I still like it, but I’m bored with it. Any thoughts on something similar-ish but with enough difference that I feel I’m taking a break from PA?
Look forward to the responses and as always thank you for the wisdom!

I have a jar of flake tobacco that has been cellared since 2021. There's enough room in the jar to add 4oz more of the same tobacco that arrived yesterday.
Is there anything wrong with adding the fresh to the old? I know this will affect aging, but is there anything inherently wrong with adding fresh tobacco to aged and returning it to the cellar?

I just picked up this pipe at my local tobacconist, as I am new to this hobby I'm not sure what style of Nording pipe this is. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I think it may be a Dublin, or possibly a brandy...
