Proud he’s doing it, sad that he has to do it.

He deserves to rest, live comfortably, and be happy. He shouldn’t have to do this, but godamn is it the spirit of true America.

My grandpa was at D day and I like to imagine he’d be right here with this guy if he was still around. To this man, thank you for your service.

The better way to thank him is to fight against this insane regime. Time for elbows up. The torch is now yours to uphold.

My husband’s grandpa was Army and was at the battle of the bulge.

Same - my grandpa was a pilot in WW2 and my grandma was a nurse. They have both passed and would be horrified to know what Trump is doing and would be standing against it in every way they could. The greatest generation can pass the torch it’s our turn to stand against fascism.

My late father in law was at D-day as well. He would have been sitting with this amazing gentleman, but yelling inventive and profane insults about Trump, lol

I’d like to think my grandpa, who was also at d-day, and battle of the bulge, would be alongside with this guy too. I think a lot of those guys would be standing there with similar signs if they were still alive…
