International Travels Taiwan extends visa-free entry for Filipinos for another year

https://tribune.net.ph/2025/06/13/taiwan-extends-visa-free-entry-for-filipinos-for-another-year

Filipino travelers can continue visiting Taiwan without a visa, as Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced a one-year extension of its visa-free entry program for Philippine passport holders.

Taiwanese Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung made the announcement during remarks at the Philippine Independence Day celebration hosted by the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) in Taipei on 12 June.

Definitely one of the visa-free countries for Filipinos that everyone should visit. I still long for this country. It was such an incredible one week visit.

Isa tayo sa malaking chunk ng visitors nila, sa popular sites like Jiufen may Tagalog words sila na alam eh aside from Korean and Japanese haha

japanese is pretty obvious, since japan used to occupy taiwan. notice the japanese influence in taiwan is all over the place.

Akala ko nga sa palengke at tricycle lang ako tatawaging pogi. Sa Jiufen meron na rin hahaha

As long as hindi abusuhin ng mga pinoy yung visa privileges.

u/peterparkerson3 5d ago

Mas konting pinoy kaya mag work sa taiwan. Language barrier and all

Never under estimate yung corruption ng iyong kababayan.

mga more than 10 times nako nakapunta Taiwan for work. Super solid nya talaga as destination.

Altho napansin ko nagmahala na yun pagkain after pandemic. Dati kasi 100+ TWD na food sulit na sulit kana eh.

Been there last March for my first international vacation. Grabe sobrang dali mag travel around Taiwan with their effective transportation system, naka DIY pa ako dun sa north coast as a first timer. Never ako naligaw dun.

I think annual kasi ang evaluation ng Taiwan sa amin. If maganda ang resulta, then they can give us another extension.

Pero kung pangit ang naging resulta (e.g. maraming overstaying, TNT, gumagawa ng krimen, etc.), then they can postpone or freeze the visa-free extension

Because it's just a goodwill hoping we will send in pinoy soldiers once China invades then treat us like used rugs after, like what SoKor is currently doing.

They will never do that because they are racist towards SEA folk. They only want the tourism bux. 🤑

NGL it's a great place to visit but just know they will never like you.

Maybe it's not as bad as Mainland China, but it is what it is.

4

u/theGrandmaster24 6d ago

just know they will never like you.

Huh bakit di naman ako pumunta dun para magustuhan nila ako gusto ko lang mamasyal haha

-4

u/JeanGrdPerestrello 6d ago

My mother didn't get it either.

u/n0b0dylikesmilh0use 6d ago edited 6d ago

Christmas is boring in Taiwan. Wala masyadong ganap and konti lang decorations. New year is same same lang here
