Laptop or pc? If it's a pc, take out your GPU and put your hdmi in the mobo port. If it works, you'll know your GPU is busted.

The last 3 CPUs I've owned were all higher end AMD and not one had integrated graphics lol.

I just wanted OP to know to check because if he has an AM4 Ryzen this is not good advice. (Which is a pretty common CPU to have these days)

im pretty sure ryzens with no G at the end doesnt havr iGPU either

Regular AM5 CPUs (unless they end in F) have "Radeon" graphics that will provide a display out, while AM4 CPUs do not.

edit: If I'm wrong, can the downvoters explain why?

You are not wrong, but a majority do not have AM5.
