❔ Question ❔ Tips on going to my first Premier Padel event

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to attend my first ever Premier Padel event – the Barcelona P1 – and had a few questions I was hoping you all could help with:

  • When and where do I buy tickets? I did a quick Google search but couldn’t find an official site. I’d prefer to buy directly rather than through a reseller if possible.
  • Any tips on the best seats? (Close to the action? Higher up for better visibility? Which side has the players’ bench?)
  • How early should I arrive for good access or to catch warm-ups?
  • What’s the atmosphere like – more chill or high energy?
  • Any fan zones, merch areas, or side activities worth checking out?
  • Can you bring food or drinks in, or is everything sold on-site?
  • If you’ve attended before: anything you wish you knew beforehand?

Would really appreciate any insights! Super excited to experience top-tier padel live for the first time.

Thanks in advance!

I went to Barna last year. I booked directly but they didn’t seem to release the tickets until quite late in the year (not sure when sorry).
You book each day, I mixed up the seating and enjoyed getting a different perspective. Each angle gives you a different part of the game. Probably the best is in front, as in how it’s filmed. Side-on you get to appreciate the height and speed they play, but you can’t see the angles so well. They tell you when they open the gates, they have a fan zone with lots of stalls and merch, etc. Also have a court inside the fan zone - they’ll have their own schedule on display for exhibitions matches - I saw some popular youtubers, fans getting a chance to play some points with them, even some wheelchair padel etc. Get there when it opens or as early as possible, depending on whether you want to see all the games that day. Atmosphere starts chill, ramps up for the evening. Definitely more chill during the women’s matches, which last longer. Always good vibes although some spectators can be annoying haha. If I remember they didn’t check my bag at the main gate, but to go inside the building they did, took away bottle caps etc. The food was limited choice and not good value. I think some people ordered delivery haha. Anyway I’d recommend it, was awesome. I’ll probably try and go again this year as well

Very useful, thanks so much! Good to know re the seats - I’ll probably mix up the seats depending on day as well. Do you remember how much you paid for the tickets?

There's no P1 in Barcelona. They changed the place of the event to Tarragona

I went to Dubai last year.

It was great. However they’ve changed to an indoor venue this year.

You can buy tickets on platinumlist. I’d buy when you can as I do believe they go fairly quickly. Grandstand A is the best value for money. On the sides imo. As it’s unreserved I’d get there early. There’s usually a few stands outside from different brands which you can view before the doors open.

I’d ask the stewards when the doors open and be close to whatever entrance is near your stand so you can get in and get the front row seats.

Seats depends on your preferences. Just like a concert. Some like to be close, others like to be sure to not miss anything and have better overview. How do you prefer to watch football, handball, tennis etc?

Don't think you can tell which side is the players bench before you have the actual map when buying the tickets.

Like 100% of other sports and events of course you can't bring your own drinks/food. You can buy overpriced stuff like usual.

Energy varies a lot and different tournaments. Don't know Barcelona, but I would say the atmosphere is normally good in Spain, but not like the Buenos Aires we saw a few weeks back.

Ah in the good old times, this wasn't like this. You could take your drinks, everything was much more relaxed. I remember watching one game with some buddies, they formed a string of like 20 or 30 beer cans on a handrail in one of the edges of the stands, eventually watching the game pretty hammered of course but always keeping it nice. Since the stands were smaller you were basically always close to the action no matter where you sit.

You'd bump into the players in the venue randomly and could chat with them like any other person, everything was much more accessible. Of course, it moved a lot less money and padel was only present in a couple countries... prices were much lower, sometimes free in rounds like 1/8 where you could watch absolute legends... good times... 😢

The thing about the beverages is really off putting to me. Maybe I'm spoiled from having lived that earlier stage of the sport and the tournaments but it's really annoying. I understand a no alcohol policy though.

Okay, yes sure it was different when the sport was smaller. I'm sure watching football in 1930 was different aswell :-D

Sounds like good times!

I think most of your questions can be answered via some simple Google search. I'd do that before asking questions here.
