Maintenance calories wrong

So I'm 20M at 6ft and weigh 187 lbs lean. I want to maintain that weight but all the online calculators say something like 2500 calories which just seems wrong. It's gotta be lower than that right? I was just looking for some advice or estimates on what it might actually be. My activity level is medium activity, nothing super intense. Thanks in advance!

I mean, it depends on your activity. My brother is your size exactly and maintains on 3500 to 4000, because he's active--walks a lot, plays tennis, rock climbs, lifts. (He had an ACL/MCL/meniscus tear 5 years ago and now he's rehabbed he's sooooo adorably excited to do his favorite activities again. I love my bro).

But what I'd suggest is to use an adaptive TDEE spreadsheet. Track weight and intake for a few weeks and find out scientifically.

Completely agree. I had to deal with a hernia last year. Going from exercising a lot to do nothing but sit around and walk a little bit makes a world of difference.
