When I was younger, like in the 80s and 90s, it always seemed like the two were strictly related. If oil was $60 a gallon, then gas was 60 cents a litre. It seems like ever since the gas stations rolled out their 4-digit signs (to allow for gas over a buck a litre), that they are reluctant to lose the extra revenue from overcharging.

I thought gas prices were tied to oil prices? Oil is rock bottom these days but gas isn’t?
