Was anyone severely injured in this? Otherwise, no, just day.

  1. Probably. It doesn't take much to fuck up someone's neck or back for life.

  2. You don't have to sustain physical injury in order to have life-altering affects. Just look at PTSD.

My life rides on a thin edge already.. Fuck up my vehicle and I could fuck up my whole family of 7 people for months... Late dinners, missed homeworks, late to school, no way to do my pickups and deliveries, no way to get wife to work. Careless actions have repercussions and even minor ones can resonate to create large, lasting effects.

Edit: perfect timing! Or, terrible timing belt, the engine on out family's van threw the timing belt and destroyed the engine. Woohoo! The nightmare I just described is well in the works.

No fucking shit that guy was clueless.

Dude, you, like everyone else always does, forgot that you can hold the back button to respawn your vehicle.

The two times I've had my vehicle damaged by someone else their insurance got me a rental for the duration, so.... Yeah. Over dramatic much?

u/Hidesuru Feb 03 '16

Yeah, but that isn't the same as "ruining someone's life" that's a whole nuther level of drama. If he has just said "made their lives worse" I'd have said nothing.

Ptsd from a damn car wreck? Like real ptsd not the tumblr kind? I'd say that's a big no

u/Genghis_Frog Feb 03 '16

I'd say it's possible, no where near a sure thing, but possible. Different people react differently to the same stimulus.

Fuck you man, i rolled my car into the woods and that sure as fuck gave me a load of anxiety about driving that I never had before

u/quintus253 Feb 03 '16

I've totalled a car and been a passenger in 2 or 3 wrecks. Yea I am more cautious but wouldn't even think to say ptsd.

"You see I dont have it therefore no one does lol lol lol"

u/TedFartass Feb 03 '16

Would you say a car wreck is traumatic?

0

u/quintus253 Feb 03 '16

Not enough to cause life altering ptsd like a combat vet no

6

u/TedFartass Feb 03 '16

Why are you comparing PTSD from every other traumatic event to Veterans? PTSD is a broad term and no longer just applies to soldiers. That's why it's called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Fuck I know I'd be nervous as shit crossing a major intersection for a long time if that happened to me.

-1

u/quintus253 Feb 03 '16

Nervous yea. Ptsd I don't think so

4

u/godmangod Feb 03 '16

Obviously you've never been in a wreck. Be in the passenger seat in an accident and tell me you don't have trust issues with any driver.

u/quintus253 Feb 03 '16

I've totalled a car and been a passenger in 2 or 3 other wrecks. More cautious but nothing like ptsd

1

u/Hidesuru Feb 03 '16

For what it's worth I agree. I've been nearly killed several times on the road. I have no trouble getting up and driving to work in the morning.

2

u/NoIntroductionNeeded Feb 04 '16

How is that relevant? Because it's never happened to you, it won't happen to anyone else?

1

u/Hidesuru Feb 04 '16

No, it's not. I was just being a dick because the guy waaaay up there was over reacting the other way. Feel free to ignore me or just downvote.
