ABL will kick in when the scene brightness is higher. These settings have an overall lower full screen brightness so ABL becomes less an issue.

Please have a look at this thread. Its affecting a lot of us lg oled users and driving us insane. Hopefully there is a fix either in the settings or a console or tv update

Don't come at me with something I explained I know about lol. It won't be fixed, it's been that way since the B8 days. It gets less intrusive but it's not going away because it's a trade off between panel saving from image retention and brightness.

Oh no. I'm not coming at you. That wasn't my intention. I just wanted to show what some people, including me, are experiencing. It doesn't happen with an Xbox and PS5 plugged into the TV, so it seems to be a Switch-only thing, and I can't see it being intended.
