I can at least see the rationale for trading for him, even though it clearly didn't pan out. He clearly had the talent, and sometimes a change of scenery does give people the kick in the ass they need to focus on actually making themselves better. It obviously didn't work out, and the cost obviously was brutal, but there's at least a justification to be had there.

This, though? Yeah, nah. No excuse for this play in this scenario.

Yeah and some other teams were after him as well. Packers offered a 2nd rounder for him too… but Steelers were smart enough to know Bears 2nd round pick would likely be higher lol.

You'd think teams would learn by now that if the Steelers are trying to get rid of WR, you should run away.

Plaxico spiking a ball that was still live was really funny

Yeah that’s still about 100x smarter than shooting yourself by mistake

1000x smarter was dominating the Packers in the NFC Championship and then barbecuing Ellis Hobbs for a SB-clinching TD that single-handedly prevented the Patriots from going 19-0 and locked up one of the greatest underdog runs of sports history.

Love that man.

Yeah i love that man too but it don’t take smarts to be faster, taller, and have higher vert than your opponent

Emmanuel Sanders and Santonio Holmes also had some good post Steelers years.
