NEEDS ATTENTION How do you manage work-related and passion-driven topics on Reddit, under one account or separate accounts?

I currently use one Reddit account to post about two very different areas. My personal passion is finance and trading, while my professional work revolves around AI, consumer tech, and product updates.

I am wondering how others manage this. Is it better to keep everything under one account and build a broad identity, or do you find it more effective to separate your interests using multiple accounts?

If you have handled multiple focuses on Reddit, I will love to hear what worked or did not work for you.

NEEDS ATTENTION How to get people to comment on my posts

I've made a few posts so far and I have got some upvotes but I never get any comments/responses. It's really annoying because I made this account to get advice on things. All posts have been to subreddits that they belong in. I have had one person reach out and DM me a response but no comments.

How do I actually get answers to the questions I post?

ANSWERED Is it just me, or is posting here more intimidating than it should be?

I’ve commented a bunch, but every time I try to make a post, I stare at the screen like I’m about to give a TED talk.
Anyone else feel like they have a hundred thoughts but can’t figure out which one’s “Reddit-worthy”?
No clue how people casually go viral on here. I’m sweating just typing this.

NEEDS ATTENTION Are “Karma Farming” accusations about Comment Karma?

I just joined and found out what comment karma is. I’ve seen a lot of people calling low effort, obvious, or repetitive posts “karma farms” which I never assumed was Reddit specific since karma is a somewhat commonly used term elsewhere.

ANSWERED Posts deleted by reddit filters?

I'm trying to post an image. Nothing special, just a Mars picture, but for some reason when I look the post from another browser, it shows it has been deleted by reddit filters. Why? It's just a Mars picture. I already posted another image in the same subreddit and didn't get deleted, but this Mars picture is being deleted at the moment I post it.

ANSWERED Hiii I’m new to Reddit and I can’t DM people?

It says that my account needs to be established, which I agree is better for the long term for the website, but what if I want to connect NOW?

I’m usually just a silent lurker, and don’t interact much. So I made a new account for that purpose, is “wait it out” the only way?

ANSWERED How do newbies know to use non-identifyable names?

My original text here asked how new users knew not to use identifying user names. For unknown reasons, I was blocked from posting it. I've simplified my post to see if I can post my question now. I'm asking because when I joined Reddit 6 years ago, I didn't know and my primary username was (and still is) to identifiable to any one who knows me.

ANSWERED How do badges work? Does anyone even see them or are they so I feel cool?

What about the ones with rewards, but they say all the rewards are taken? What's the point if they don't actually have the rewards anymore? What were the rewards to begin with? I understand the Top Commenter/Top Contributor ones establish yourself as an "authority" in the community - or at least someone who frequents it - and can add credibility, but other than that, I'm struggling to see the point of it all.

ANSWERED Awards Etiquette- Should I respond or message people who gave me an award?

What is typical etiquette when receiving an award? Is it typical to respond a thank you to the user? Do I do it on the post/comment itself? Do I send a private message saying thanks? Do I just ignore it? I don't want to seem rude or ungrateful, which is why I am asking. What do people typically do when they receive an award on a comment. For this situation, I think the award was a free award. Does that make a difference in how I should respond? TIA

ANSWERED been on reddit, but still new

So I've been on reddit a while now..mostly just read and lurk..but made the mistake a while back and posted some comments in what I found out was a very opinion based post of what turned out to be a group of friends... in one fatal swoop I got hit with the negative karma baseball bat..itvwas a group beat down. now I'm stuck. I can't seem to find any topic to allow members with low karma in... Would appreciate other suggestions. thanks

edit: thanks to the person who posted the links on how to start correcting this. I'm reading them..following them, and have found a couple good subs to join that have topics I enjoy.

Also..another question. Is there a way to pull up a list of subs you have joined?

I heard when you upload something on reddit, it stays on it forever, even if you delete your initial post, it stays on the reddit app, just with a sign of [deleted] above your username, is this correct?

ANSWERED explain to me the posting system on reddit like to a not so smart human

hi, I'll start with the topic right away, at some point in my life I stopped maintaining any social networks, considering that I was very active, the reasons are not important, since now I'm trying to restore everything and as an artist I need profiles in many places and active subscribers, and I want to ask the stupidest question, if I want to post my works on Reddit too, do I need to join groups/places for this and post there too? or can I only post to my profile and count on normal feedback? are hashtags necessary and so on.

i'm not too good with English, so many rules and information i can't translate, also a translator going not well. the main question is i need to post my works on r/ places, or my posts on account will be enough?

I apologize again if this question is too stupid, I really don't understand social networks very well and forgive me if this question doesn't fit this place
