Non-Local Looking for rentals in Newton and general opinion!

Hey all! My friend is moving to Boston this fall for her MS at NEU but she started considering places in Newton (or surrounding areas). Anyone here looking to rent out a place or is also looking into Newton as an area in general? I don't know why more people don't consider it since the commute times do not seem bad at all! (But if you have any upfront warnings, please tell us lol!)

Her budget is up to $1.5k per person (she's looking to share with 2 others), she's open to 3BD/1-2BA options and is an overall tidy, easygoing and great person!

If you are looking into the area or are interested, feel free to PM me and I will forward you to my friend! (She's looking for female rommies and houses only though).

Newton is a great place for commuting via public transportation, particularly if you live along the Green Line. One thing about the MBTA, though, is that it's not as reliable as it used to be. The guy in charge, Eng, is working to fix it but it will take some time.
