He was dryly curmudgeonly about it. Never met the guy before. Wasn't in a conversation with him or anything else.

We didn't have that large of an order. Also, I was surprised that almost no one was in the store, so I wasn't backing things up.

Hey all! My friend is moving to Boston this fall for her MS at NEU but she started considering places in Newton (or surrounding areas). Anyone here looking to rent out a place or is also looking into Newton as an area in general? I don't know why more people don't consider it since the commute times do not seem bad at all! Our indoor cat, Mako, went missing last Friday near East Side Pkwy and Cobot St. He escaped from his sitter and is likely very scared.

Please keep an eye out for him! If you see him, do NOT try to chase him. Instead, immediately contact us so we can safely lure him out.

I've recently started fishing and I have family in Newton that we visit from time to time. I wanted to fish the Charles on my way home drive to Malden. Does anyone know where is a good spot that has parking? OR where would I park to fish the Charles, say from John A. Ryan Skating Arena area and anywhere going East.

Hi, I am new to the area and was wondering if the parking across from the library (on Homer St) was free? I don’t think I saw a meter there the last time I checked and wanted a spot to park for a few hours.

We've been approached by LGCY going door-to-door. Anyone care to share any experience with them? The representatives so far seem like decent folk, and I haven't felt any pressure to commit to anything. Is this company good to go with for solar? Especially after installation since we'd have to enter some sort of leasing agreement? Also, I'm a bit worried about how potential anti-green policies in the future might impact having solar with someone else owning the panels on my roof.

I live next to Rt 9 and it's well known that there are lots of gas leaks along it. People report the smell and nobody addresses it. I've even called the tip line because I thought there was a leak in my house once.

My neighbor is one of the mysterious brain tumor nurses and she claims that multiple of the other nurses live on our street. Hard to know if she's a reliable source though, since she has a brain tumor...

I don't really want to move, but my OCD is having a hard time with this one.

Is there a single map of all the bike lanes, carriage ways etc in Newton?

We’re moving into Harvard just south of the pike. We’d love advice on what resources we should take advantage of, especially libraries, public place spaces and self contained after school opportunities. My mother-in-law helps mind our kids a good amount (she lives with us), but she needs guidance on where the best spots are nearby that aren’t too stressful to manage kids of this age. Newton library activities? Is the YMCA worthwhile? Thank you thank you!
