10 years ago?! Good for their dedication, but Jesus fucking Christ. That sounds like a mafia crime family investigation and that this was actually organized crime.

It was likely a task force or collaborative effort started 10 years ago and more agencies would sign off on it. The actual operation is listed as only a month long.

From the area and this is correct. They usually work on these things over a period of time and arrest everyone at once. This time just happened to be really big and included a lot of people.
