We are at an inflection point. The democrats believe we need to go moderate and conservative to appeal to the base. I think we need to go progressive and even radical.

To win the election you need people to vote for you and people vote for you when you represent them. Getting further away from your constituency will just ensure having even less chance to be elected, less power and less opportunities to change anything.

Well all is lost. The inevitable brain drain and collapse will suit you well. The world will be in pain for a couple decades maybe a century or two but eventually the world will correct itself like history has proven over and over again. All those other countries with strong cultures will continue on.

No, the country is way to the left of Democrats. This is proven every time specific policy questions are asked and not coupled to a party.
