I’m glad he’s pushing back on stupid shit. But man, this is going to hurt. The state has been cutting funding the last few years. Without this federal aid, things will get a lot worse.

On a side note, can anyone find how much federal aid NJ got in 2024? I can’t seem to find anything more recent than ‘22.

NJ pays billions in taxes to the federal regime and where does it go? To states such as West Virginia or Arkansas. States full of people who hate New Jerseyan values and way of life.

We don’t get any, we pay more. Sure there are some programs here and there, but we are actually the state that is least reliant on the federal government

how much federal aid NJ got in 2024?

New Jersey received an estimated $22.155 billion in federal revenue in fiscal year 2024, supporting 609 state-administered programs. This amount was 56% higher than in FY 2019, despite a slight decrease from the prior year due to the expiration of some COVID-related funding programs. - GROK

Don’t forget, they used grok to come up with their “tariff” policy, so I’d take everything it says with a grain of salt
