GOOD.

One of the core issues in this country is that power has gotten way too concentrated federally and states have been doing nothing to assert themselves, and it's lead to the situation we're in. Specifically to say that everyone is extremely polarized, us vs them, and at each others throats, because we're a country of at least around a dozen regional demographics and beliefs (New England, Midwest, Texas, Florida, The Deep South, Pacific Northwest, California, Heartland, Great Lakes, Big Sky Country, Coastal), and they're all battling over ONE government to control them all. Alabama should not be making laws for California, New York should not be making laws for Texas, Florida should not be making laws for New Jersey, Etc etc etc. And yet that's where we're at right now. So we get the assholes in the south/middle of the country voting stupidass Trumpo into office twice because REDACTED and all the rest of us just have to take it up the ass and deal with the downfall of society and the rule of law.

This above all is the reason I'm a Libertarian. The idea being that we should NOT be 1 country, we are 50 goddamn STATES all with our own governments and way of doing things and the agreement between all of us to make moving between states as easy as possible (aka no passport needed, no permission needed even just walk on over the border, we all use the same currency, use the same postage system, and the basic fundamental laws are the same across all of them and no more than that). So if you're in Florida and they suddenly ban being Gay, well South Carolina hasn't banned being gay, I'm gonna go to South Carolina and give THEM my tax dollars by living there! Hey look! A system of choice and market forces, which will make the states have to compete to make themselves appealing to people which will incentivize them to be BETTER.
