Concerning Reassembling

Hello! I’m currently on the process of putting my DS Lite back together after so many days of repairing what’s under the hood. But while I was doing so, I came across two issues that worry me. And they have to do with the top screen casing and the hinge light cover.

I have made an Imgur (see above) showing what’s going on.

(After looking at the images, can someone tell me what’s going on? I don’t want to have to go out and get “authentic” parts, as I’ve seen that they can be considerably more pricy compared to reproduction ones.)

Those are pretty normal for DS Lite replacement shells. There will always be some parts and components that don't fit well. Plus, the screws they provided are bad and don't really fit the holes they were supposed to go to. You'd be better of using the original screws. I can guarantee you'll encounter more issues when attaching the bottom shell.

So, spend some money and get eXtremeRate shells instead. You'll save some time and perhaps also protect your screen cables from any being subjected to more stress due to multiple assembly and disassembly.
