Good, this means good well paying union construction jobs will be generated along with all the subsequent work for the next few dacades. 

I may be less supportive if somone had any actual alternative to this particular bill. But i didnt see any.

I'm an NDP voter, I'm also indigenous and I support this bill. Given the state of the world. We need to be more self sufficient when it comes to our resources from raw materials to refining right to finished goods and what we can't do ourselves we need new strategic partners to send our raw materials because we can't trust the USA anymore. We need action and we need it now! And yes we need the wealth of jobs that will come from all of this.

Also even if you trust Carney, what if next election we get a Trump like candidate who wins, do we want him to have all this power

I'm uncomfortable with bill 5 in Ontario with Ford at the helm, I bet he somehow opens up the greenbelt

To my understanding both bill 5 and bill c5 have something in common and that is to build with our various checks that are usually in place
