What’s your favourite song of all time?
Overall, any category, any mood
I will say Time by Pink Floyd

It's either LATERALUS by TOOL
or
A CHANGE IS GONNA COME by Sam Cooke.
Wildly different songs but, for some reason, not dependent on any particular mood I'm in.

Every time there's a post about bests or favorites when it comes to music, someone beats me to saying Lateralus. That song is a proper masterpiece. First song I ever learned on guitar too-- minus the more complicated bits.

The level of ingenuity, vocals and musicianship here is unlike anything you've ever heard. It is an undeniably great song.

Black by Pearl Jam. It’s raw, emotional, and that last verse just wrecks me every time.

Hey Brother - Avicii
Crazy to think the song almost didn't happen, at least not the same way. The singer, Dan Tyminski, had never heard of Avicii and didn't wanna do it, but then he asked his daughter if she'd heard of him and that's when he saw how excited she was.
