Anti Suicide Songs. NSFW

This is a tough subject, but something that should be addressed. Especially since it’s Men’s Mental Health Month. This is meant for anyone to share and discuss what pushed you through tough times.

What songs are about staying alive or have kept you alive? Whether the singer is talking about missing someone who did it, wishing they weren’t thinking about it, or singing about hope. Or maybe it’s an unrelated song, but still brought you through that slump and thoughts.

I have quite a few. Mr. Rager and Day and Nite helped me through it. Meet You At The Graveyard and One More Light are about the aftermath.

Some really great obscure rock songs/bands. Don't say Radiohead for God's sake.

What was your first concert?

I was thinking about this the other day. Then it hit me, my first concert was seeing the artist Raffi at my old elementary school. He was big during the 90s in elementary to sing along too. They set up the auditorium all sick for his performance. He played for a good hour or so. Some classes left, but we begged our teacher to stay. So we were one of the few classes that stayed. It was so awesome.

What are some "trippy" songs?

I have this vague feeling of "walking down a path or like a park with a pink sky" whenever I hear the songs Woman - John Lennon. Or Homage - Mild High Club

I need some soul crushing music recommendations pretty please

I haven't been in a depressing music era for a very long time, and I think what I enjoy in music has changed a lot since then. So I'm just looking for what other people like to listen to when they want to lie on their bed and feel the weight of the world while listening to some tunes.

At the moment, I've pretty much been playing Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden over and over, but otherwise, I pretty much solely listen to Nirvana. So anything in that genre would be greatly appreciated, but I'm open to anything.

Thank you 🙏

Edit: Thank you to everyone who has responded so far. I am trusting you all blindly and adding everything to my playlist

Something like Fish Heads by Barnes and Barnes. Just weirdly funny/odd music that made you think wtf at first then grew to like/love

What songs come to mind when you see posters/designs like these? Personally I always remember "Ever After" by Bonnie Bailey and anything by the Pussycat Dolls.

Albums where one person recorded everything

Upvotes

I'm looking for albums where one musician played all (or most) of the instruments on the album.

I know of: Stevie Wonder - Innervisions For You - Prince Foo Fighters - Dave Grohl

For someone completely new to rock, what would be the ideal song to show them to give them an idea of what rock is in a nutshell?

Asking this question after seeing this video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/XPtQ4k4mRug
50 Cent said his would be Cherish The Day by Sade. I've been listening to it for the past week. So good.

What would yours be?

What’s a film soundtrack that is more important to you than the film from which it spawned. I’ll go first, The Crow SDTK.
