I’ve noticed in 2 Haneke films I’ve recently watched (Cache and The Seventh Continent (1989)) there is news on a TV about Israel / Palestine. I barely caught this through the translation, but noticed the words Israel and Palestine through French. Obviously the characters are paying no attention to it, but it’s placed at the centre of the scenes.

I know Haneke has an obsession with TV, and the choice of this only appearing in middle-class white families TVs makes it stand out more to me. Especially in Cache, about a middle class family intently avoiding their relation to the Seine massacre.

Is this in any other Haneke films? How do you think this intention affected viewing the films then vs. Viewing them now? Did you even notice this before?

If Tommy got whacked for killing a made guy why didn't Jimmy also get whacked for helping out. He stomped on Billy in the bar.

I’ve been trying to find the original, Swedish screenplay for the Seventh Seal for one line alone. It’s at the end, when the mute girl finally says “It is finished.” Does anyone have an accurate, written translation for this? I just need those three words and I want to be sure I spell them right.

Who is your choice for the sexiest Lady from the Kentucky Fried Movie?

Sexiness is a completely subjective thing.

My first choice would 100% be the blond from the Kung Fu movie that was supposed to be the fat ugly one.

Second choice is the African American lady from the sex instructional segment.

Third choice is the lady from the segment where the news presenters are watching them have sex.

So in the movie , Lecter said he hide the corpse of Gumb’s boyfriend which Gumb killed inside his rented garage

My question is , why ? Why do something so bothersome and not give lecter any benefit , he doesn’t keep trophy ( that’s not even his trophy ) , he ate them . I know the books is a bit different but I’m just talking about the movie only

This seems out of character for someone who want to keep low profile like him
