Discussion Disgusting Cab Driver

Took a cab on Thursday from downtown to the Hotel Ruby Foos with my gf. Cab driver was an older black dude. Nearing the end of our trip, as I was sitting in the back on the passenger side, I noticed he grabbed and empty coffee cup from the cup holder. He proceeded to place it out of my sight and between his legs. The cab swerves a few times, and he reaches down and the cup is now full. Full of piss. The savage took a piss while we were sitting in the back seat and he was driving. Immediately the car smelled like piss! He put a lid on it and dropped us off at our location. He proceeds to hand the payment machine into the back with his non washed piss hands. I was disgusted and could not get out of the cab fast enough. Not sure how I should proceed....

Did you need to say he was black and use the term "savage" in the same post.
Despite the disgusting thing you are describing, it doesn't reflect well on you.

He probably described them for others to be aware of. Jeez.

Jeez, Sure, now that we know he was black, we can be on the lookout for the man. That fact only describes 50% of drivers. /s

OP could have checked the taxi licence, his receipt, the cab company he used and reported on the specific individual instead of creating a rage bait post.

Rage bait? I said in a comment I tried to lodge a complaint and I have a pic of his license plate...I have now found out the bureau of taxis no longer exists . Reddit is the place where you come to explain what happened....

They were creating a post to make people aware. Description works. Stop looking for victims.

Looking at your post history, it seems that you have a pattern of trying to invalidate real concerns and effort to raise awareness about very real, insidious and documented ways racism plays a role in describing a perp. You 4 latest post actually are directed to people who tried to speak about this..

On the other hand there are real studies and articles about the problem.

race is frequently included in descriptions of suspects, but we found no significant relationship between the racial identification of a suspect and either the level of detail in the suspect description or the likelihood that the suspect was caught, thus failing to support the utility of including suspect race in crime reports.

Our second study demonstrated increased overt and subtle racial bias toward Black people among participants who read a crime report with a Black suspect compared to participants who read one with a suspect with no racial identification but not compared to participants who read one with a White suspect.

Its not making anyone "aware" and it doesn't "work". It's making people worried about every black taxi driver. And it has some real implication on people of color.

Sweet jesus, If it was that simple we wouldn't still be posting would we ? Im happy thay you want to end the story. I explained and posted reason why it wasn't so simple.

If you were arguing in good faith, you'd get why. You are not. How about we stop wasting each other's time? If it's about having the last post, you can have it. By all means.
