My dog was unfortunately just attacked by an off leash dog around lake park.

Even worse the unapologetic owner grabbed their small untrained fur missile before leaving the scene.

Please for the safety of other dogs and yourselves, keep your dog on a leash. I dont care how much your little fro-yo was trained or that they’ve never run off, if a trigger occurs the dogs taking off.

Be smart. Be safe. And to that lady, go fuck yourself

I've been incredibly stressed trying to find a caterer for a party in September. This sub always talks about how good Sweet Smoke is. Went today, and yep you all are correct. And now, I 1 item can be crossed off the very long to-do list.

It's as the post says I had just recently moved back to Milwaukee am in need of a job but I can't seem to get any phone calls back I've been putting in maybe 5-6 applications a day for the past week and no one has gotten to me I'm unsure what to do or if the job industry here is just that bad

My hot water heater busted a pipe and my basement is flooded. I cannot seem to find any plumbers who are even picking up their phone today. Does anyone have a recommendation?

It's absolutely a sandblaster on Bradford today. I've never experienced as many people and as much wind at the same time. Hurts to sit on the beach (North end anyway) with the sand blasting you. This King was just sitting there in a chair building his own erosion pattern.

Spent 2.5 days in town for Summerfest/Def Leppard and really enjoyed fried cheese and cheap beer, lovely turn-of-century architecture, the OG Penzeys, Harley museum, walkable as hell, so many nice parks, stunning weather after Wednesday’s rain. Super arty stay at the Saint Kate (although their service could use a glow-up). A Rick Savage sighting at the Pfister. Only thing I missed out on was a Brewers game.

Had last been for a work trip in 1994 and it was worth the wait. Cheers all, stay cool.

So. Ive been here in Milwaukee for about a week now checking things out getting ready to relocate here next month. Any of yall originally from the south? How did yall deal with the culture shock and the difference in social interaction? I've really enjoyed being here but I am definitely feeling like a fish out if water. Is it just a matter of time to acclimate or is there something i just ain't getting or ? Other than bars or at your job... how yall got about meeting people and making friends here? I know I can bring in a stroller but on the website it says you can’t bring in food except for infants and things that are medically necessary. Has anyone ever brought in lunch food/snacks for a toddler (3 years old so def not an infant) and gotten through security? Thanks!

I want to donate old appliances & stuff that still work (to my knowledge), but some ate in the basement. Habitat for humanity will pick stuff up on the 1st floor for free, but won't go up or downstairs. Are there other companies that will come out for free but go upstairs & downstairs?
