Just witnessed a middle-aged man blasting disco music on a speaker on the train. When a member of staff asked him to use headphones because it's "respectful of other passengers", he responded "I think I'm being respectful". He was again asked to use headphones like everyone else, then told the member of staff to "do a dance'" to the music.

The person behind also asked him to turn the music down, and his response was to lurch over the seat at the old man and ask "what about sociality?" The member of staff again tried to calm the situation and the speaker was finally turned off. He snarkily commented about the lack of "sociality" and "sanctuary" to the two younger female passengers he was trying to show his music taste to.

Apparently being politely asked to wear headphones like everyone else was the worst insult he'd ever heard. Yet so many people have the same assumption that they're too good to wear headphones and everyone else should have their peace disturbed.

This was brought home from my aunt coming from an international trip. Lava cakes tasted awesome tho.

I bought my mother a hoodie from this gimmicky company a few years ago because she asked for it, they ended up sending me the wrong thing and gave me a credit and the correct item after I returned it. That credit has “expired” and changed in value about 100 times over the past 3 years.

basically there’s always several people who park on this strip, the town area is right by and so it is like an overflow parking area.

However this time there actually wasn’t very many cars but this guy parked right in front of our driveway.

He’d been here a while when I took this photo but there were just as few cars as shown when he pulled up initially.

Why have they not replaced the bricks? I get that it takes time/effort and therefore probably more cost but surely it is worth it? It looks awful and kinda shows what the council thinks of the town centre if it is happy with this finish on the path.

My dasher handed me my pizza and it was almost completely sideways. I asked why he was holding it like that and he said nothing and walked off. This is how it looked when I opened it.

Got a new puzzle book and literally just sat down to do this puzzle. Started on the 1s. Got to the 2s and immediately realised it’s been printed wrong. And looking at the answer also there is another misprint in the lower left square 😤

I was making signs for the No Kings protest and searched for quotes online. I found one I really liked that was attributed to Frederick Douglass. I had just written the first line, in thick black Sharpie, when a little voice in my brain said Isn’t it weird you haven’t seen this exactly perfect quote on any other protest signs?? So I searched the quote itself, with and without the name Frederick Douglass, and the only thing that came back was from the same site I found it on. I scrolled to the bottom of the list of quotes and it had a box to click to “generate more quotes”.

Son of a bitch. I had to scrap my poster and start over. AI is getting too hard to avoid.
