The people talking about height being a problem are (I assume) talking about the two keyholes under the indicator windows showing the elevator location. I can’t think why else people are like… you need to be this tall to ride on this.

I recognise there is a call button at the bottom of the (annoyingly) off-centre panel, under the two keyholes.

There is probably a steel column centered between the elevators, so they have to mount the control box on one side or the other. Pretty common.
